Nana Leslie

Here is my latest layout for for DownUnder Direct.

The photo is of my hubby's mother.
I usually back all my photos on card stock before putting them on a page, but this time I thought I would do something a little different.  I've kept it pretty simple with the minimal amount of embellishment.

Christmas Cards All Year Round Mid Month Inspiration

Here is a card I just made for the mid month inspiration over at Christmas Cards All Year 'Round.
Our theme for the May challenge is "Your favourite Christmas carol or song"

My card is inspired by "White Christmas"

I love the combination of different shades and textured white card stock.  Unfortunately the card didn't photograph as well as I had hoped.

I've used my Spellbinder Dies Lacy Pennants and Poinsettia.
There are four different card stocks.
Ribbon has been threaded through the outside of the pennant die and I've added a few pearls.

Graduation Noah

It's day two of the graduation image release over at Platypus Creek Digitals. Today's image is Noah all dressed in his graduation robes and cap.

The image has been printed onto X-Press It blender card and then coloured with Copics.  The wording is a freebie that can be downloaded from the digi blog.

The paper and ribbon are from my stash.

Be sure to head over to the blog and see what the other DT members have created.

I'll be back tomorrow with a new graduation cutting file.

Both today's and yesterdays images are now available in the shop

Graduation Ella

It's release time again over at Platypus Creek Digitals, and today I have the first of two new images to share with you - Graduation Ella.

The image has been coloured using Copics.  I've embossed the backing card stock with my spellbinder Impressabilities, but it's a bit hard to see in the photo.  The ribbon is from my stash.  I think I bought it in the US a few years ago.

The wording is from a freebie set that will be available from tomorrow over on the digi blog.

Tomorrow we will be releasing the second image - Graduation Noah.

Both images will be available from tomorrow in the web shop.

Thanks for stopping by today.  Be sure to check out the rest of the Design Team's creations.

Flower Sketch

There's a new challenge over at Platypus Creek Digitals and the theme this fortnight is Flowers.

Here is a card I made using the image Flower Sketch 1.  This image was previously available as a rubber stamp, but it is now available as a digi image and can be purchased from the digi shop.

The image was printed onto Express It blender card.  I've coloured the image using my Prisma Pencils and blended using Zest It blending solution.

I picked up the Zest It about 4 months ago at a shop on The Gold Coast, but this is the first I've used it.  It blended the pencils perfectly and didn't affect the ink from the image.

The Zest It comes in a bottle as well as a pre soaked sponge in a screw top bottle.

I simply dipped a paper stump blender into the sponge and blended.

Another plus of this blending solution is that it has a pleasant citrus smell.

I've used my Spellbinders to make the decorative edge.  I've added a few drops of  white Enamel Accents along the border.
The little flowers on the corners of the image are from a string of pearl flowers from my stash.

I will be linking this up to the following:

Christmas Cards All Year Round May Challenge

It's challenge time again at Christmas Cards All Year Round, and this month we have a really fun challenge for you.
The theme this month is "You're favourite Christmas Carol or Song"

My card is inspired by "O Christmas Tree"

I'm still lovin the Spellbinder Pennants Dies so I decided to create a Christmas Tree card using the largest Lacy Pennant Die as the card base.  The printed paper is one of the double sided glitter papers from Best Creations. You can't tell from the photo, but it has a lovely subtle shimmer all over it.
The verse is from Sunshine Designs.
I've added a paper rose and some pearls from my stash.

Be sure to head over to the CCAYR blog and see what the other Design Team members.

Thanks for stopping by today.

If I were a zombie...

I'd probably eat cupcakes.

It's challenge time again over at Beyond The Burtonesque Dolls.  The challenge this week is If I were a zombie I'd eat you most...

I've been wanting to use this particular colour combo again for awhile so I could use this ribbon.  I thought this challenge was perfect for it.

I've used Zombie Rio from Simply Betty Stamps.  The cupcake and wording are from Tiddly Inks.
