I don't have a card to share with you today, but I wanted to mention a fun blog I found a couple of months ago. Make it Monday is a great place to share your creations with fellow crafters. Each Monday crafters are encouraged to link up a project they have created, and to visit fellow participant's blogs. Each week one lucky crafter will be chosen at random and have their blog featured the next week on Make It Monday. There is also a prize drawn at random from comments left on participants blogs. This week my shop Platypus Creek Stamping & Craft is sponsoring Make It Monday with a Sunshine Designs Stamp Set. There is also a brand new Make It Monday design team who will be sharing some of their lovely creations each week. Why not head over and have a look.
Here is a card I made for a new blog I've been working on for DownUnder Direct. The new blog which has just been launched is DownUnder Direct Inspiration. As well as a new blog we have a new design team. I've been joined by four talented ladies all of whom you can meet over on the blog. We hope to keep you inspired over the coming months with projects featuring Bazzill Basics Paper, JustRite Stamps, Spellbinders and Swarovski Crystals.
This cute little fellow is Davey. I've printed the image onto Express It blender card and coloured with Copics. I've made a patchwork background from some scraps of K & Co paper and stitched it together. The buttons are from my stash.
It's another new release over at The Burtonesque Dolls. Today we have two new cuties to show ya.. They are Lena and Misty! Both will be accompanied next week on Tuesday by two more cute Rag Dolls! They will also be available next week for purchase @ simplybettystamps.com.
The challenge this week is to create a quilted background using different pieces of paper and sewing them together to create that background! Not as hard as it sounds I promise! It's fun, and just think of the cool "rags" you can patch together! You may use any image you like! Have fun and be sure to check back next week for another two cute Rag Doll images.
For my card this week I've used Lena. I've printed her onto Express It blender card and coloured with Copics. All the papers are from my stash. I've cut each into a square and then stitched them together. I've also stitched the layered image onto the background. The flowers are from Prima. I've used some regualr buttons and some doll buttons to embellish.
This week we have a fun challenge for you, and an awesome sponsor. With the Royal Wedding soon upon us, we are getting all romantic and creating cards for beautiful brides and bridesmaids, or any bridal event!! But don't forget to add that Burtonesque Twist!!
Our sponsor this week is Tiddly Inks, and the Dolls got the great pleasure of creating with some of Tiddly Inks newest images from the Gothic Pin-up Collection. The image I've used is Flora, isn't she just fabulous. I couldn't wait to print and colour her up.
The DP is from Kaiser. The rest of the bits and pieces are from my stash.
Be sure to head over to The Burtonesque Dolls to check out what the other Dolls have created this week.
Another month has gone by, and it is once again time to share my DT cards for the monthly challenge over at Christmas Cards All Year Round. The challenge this month is to use an oval and some ribbon on your card.
The snowman and greeting are from The Artful Stamper. The house is from Sunshine Designs. The snowman image has been coloured using Tombows The house has been coloured using Copics. All the papers and embellishments are from my stash.
Be sure to head over to CCAYR and see what the other DT members have created.
