New Release at Burtonesque Dolls

It's time for some freaky fun over at The Burtonesque Dolls.  This week the dolls are helping to introduce some new designs- The Toxic Kids created by Jordyn Fischer!  This young man has quite the imagination when it comes to unique!  As you can see they fit in perfectly with The Burtonesque Dolls!  I'm sure you will agree that any of these new characters would be perfect in a Burton film.

I've printed both images onto Express It blender card and coloured with Copics.  All the bits and pieces are from my stash.

Christmas Card Challenge

Cheryl over at My Cardmaking Haven is currently having a Christmas card challenge.  The challenge which is open to her followers is to make five Christmas cards.  I promised myself that I would make at least five cards every month so that by Dec 1st this year I would be ready to post my cards.  Well so far, not so good.  I think my total for this year is five or six.  That is until today when I decided to join in on Cheryl's challenge.
I decided to keep my design simple, and used the new Fancy Tags Two Spellbinder Die.  I've stamped and embossed the wording from JustRite Stamps and then layered this onto the tag.  I've added a couple of pearls to finish it.  Pretty simple but I think it looks quite nice.

Here are my five cards.

Don't forget to come back tomorrow evening to find out who has won my blog giveaway.  If you haven't entered yet, all you have to do is become a follower, if you aren't already and leave a comment on the giveaway post.
Thanks for stopping by today.

New Digi Release

Finally I'm back after not posting anything for about a week.  I was asked to make a scrapbook as a going away gift.  I received the photos last Saturday and set about the task to make a 20 page album by Wednesday night.  I managed to finish just in time.  I was pleased with the results, but didn't have time to take any photos to share with you.

Here is a card I just made.  The image is Amber, a new Platypus Creek Digi  designed by my daughter Hannah.

The image was printed onto X Press It blender card and coloured with Copics.  I've embossed the cardstock using Daisy Impressabilities from Spellbinder.  The flowers and pearls are from my stash.

You may purchase the digi stamp from my website.  Any purchases made on the website will be emailed once payment has been received.

Pastel Baby Card

I've been getting a lot of use from my Spellbinders Beaded Circle Die lately.  Here is another card I made last night.

The image is from Sunshine Designs.  I've stamped it onto Express It blender card and coloured it with Copics.  I've added 22 tiny paper daisies around the edge.  Each daisy has a small dot of Enamel Accents in the centre.  The ribbon and lace are from my stash.
I am submitting this to this week's challenge over at

Another Easter Card

Here is a card I made using another very old Penny Black stamp.

The image has been stamped on Express It blender card with Tuxedo Black Memento ink and coloured with Copics. The flowers, ribbon and egg button are all from my stash.
I'm submitting this to the current challenge over at Incy Wincy Designs where the challenge is to make a project using pastel colours.

Black & White Robin

I managed to get some time in the craft room this morning to make a couple of cards. This is one of them.

The image is from JustRite Stamps - Backyard Birds.  I've stamped the image with Tuxedo Black Memento ink and added a little colour to the eggs with Copics.
I've used my Spellbinder die- S4-292 Beaded Circles, threading some ribbon through the smaller one and adding some pearls to the large one.
Not sure who made the dp as it came from my scrap box.

I am entering this into this weeks challenge over at Joans Gardens

Burtonesque Dolls Challenge- Mars Attacks!

It's time again for another challenge over at The Burtonesque Dolls. The theme this week is "Mars Attacks".  The challenge is to create a project using the film as inspiration and to include the colour green.

I was shopping on Sunday with my daughter, and we came across this ribbon.  I knew it would be perfect for the challenge this week so I had to buy it. I didn't think any further than that, but luckily I had the perfect match of papers in my Bazzill stash.  The card was super quick and easy.  I just cut out a few Spellbinder circles and stuck it all together.
Be sure to head over to the blog and see what the other Dolls have come up with to inspire you.

Happy Egg Day

I was sorting through some old stamps last night and I came across these two. I haven't used them in years, so I thought I would ink them up and make a card.

I know that the wording is from Penny Black and I'm pretty sure the image is as well. Both had been removed from their blocks to save space when we moved back in 2008.  I've stamped the image onto Xpress It blender card and coloured with Copics.  The papers are Bazzill and the ribbon and egg button are from my stash.

I thought I would submit this card to the following challenges:
Cute Card Thursday-Signs of Spring
Creative Inspirations-In The Garden
Fab & Funky Challenges-Spring Into Action
Oldie But A Goodie-Spring is in The Air
Incy Wincy Designs-Spring is in The Air

Thanks for stopping by today.

Quick Mother's Day Card

Although Mother's Day is a couple of months away I thought I would get organised and make a couple of cards early this year.  I usually find myself rushing around at the last minute trying to make a card to send my mum in Canada.   This isn't the card I plan to send, but I thought I would share it here with you today.  It was super quick to make.  The stamp is one of the recently released Cling Sets from JustRite Stamps.  I've stamped the image twice with Amethyst Ancient Page.  I've cut out the bit on the end and cloured the bottom image with Tombow.  The little butterfly is a Spellbinder Die.

Christmas Cards All year Round-March Challenge

It's time for another challenge over at Christmas Cards All Year Round.  Since March is the 3rd month, we'll be working in threes! Your cards need 3 patterned papers and 3 brads, eyelets or gems. You may add other embellishments, a sentiment, cardstock, etc as well.

I was having a bit of trouble finding three patterned papers that matched, but I eventually found some scraps of Allison Ellis papers in the bottom of my very large scrap pile.  I made some cards using this paper two years ago, so I thought it time to use up the scraps.
On the first card I have three patterned papers and three little diamante & glittery snowflakes.  The image is from Polar Bear collection by Sunshine Designs
On the second card I've used the same three papers and three brads.  The Christmas tree is also part of one of the patterned papers, so no stamping on this one.
Be sure to head over to the blog and check out what the other design team members have created.
