Burtonesque Dolls Challenge 16

Here is the card I made for this week's challenge over at The Burtonesque Dolls.

The theme this week was "Vincent" and the challenge was to take a paragraph from the poem and use it as inspiration for your project. I chose the following paragraph:

He doesn't mind living with his sister, dog and cats
Though he'd rather share a home with spiders and bats.
There he could reflect on the horrors he's invented
And wander dark hallways, alone and tormented
.
The stamp I've used is Charle's Tulips from the Gothic Cute range over at Tiddlyinks. I've used my Cuttlebug Spiderweb embossing folder to emboss the background paper. The spiderweb and bats are cutting files I designed. I've added black diamantes to the backs of tiny spider confetti. I've sprayed the spiderweb with Glimmer Mist and coated the bats with Glossy Accents. The image has been coloured with copics.
Vincent is a poem and short film. It can be read here and viewed here.

Spring Clearance Sale

With spring only a few days away, I've decided to have a big Spring Clean Sale over at my webshop. All Artful Stamper woodmounts have been reduced by 70%. I've further reduced prices in the clearance section as well. At this stage I'm not sure how long the sale will run. It's my intention to clear out the wood mounts completely to make room for new products.

Spring Snowman

Good morning. I hope everyone had a lovely weekend. I finally got some time on the weekend to make a card so I thought I would share it with you here today. The past two weeks have been pretty busy around here so I really haven't had much time for craft. I did however spend two days in the craft room sorting and organising things, so I now have a very tidy, well organised room to work in. During my clean up I came across this stamp that I haven't used for ages. The stamp is Spring Snowman from The Artful Stamper. The papers are from my scrap box. I've used three little glass pebbles (also discovered during my clean up) as embellishments as well as a shimmery snowflake. The image has been coloured using Copics.

Burtonesque Dolls Challenge #14

Here is my submission for this week's challenge over at The Burtonesque Dolls.

The theme this week is "The Burton Girls Victorian Style" The image I've used is Gossmere from Tiddly Inks. I decided that shades of brown would give a Victorian feel to the card. I've also used my Fleur de Lis embossing folder from Cuttlebug to emboss the background. The lace is part of an old doily. To finish, I've used a few antique style buttons that I had in my stash.

Introducing Zach & Zoey

I've been working on some new designs for my Platypus Creek Digi range so I thought I would share two of the newest images here with you today. The new images are Witch Zoey and Dracula Zach and these are just two of 7 new digi stamps released today. The images are now available to purchase from the Platypus Creek Digi Store.

Both images have been coloured with Copics. The stripe paper is from a new digital range I'm working on which will be released soon. The dotty paper is from Bo Bunny. The spider web is also one of my new cutting files. This will be available soon as both cutting file and pre- cut pieces. The two wordings are free digis available to download from the digi shop.

Burtonesque Dolls Challenge #13

Here is my submission for this week's challenge over at The Burtonesque Dolls. The challenge this week was to create a card using "Big Fish" as the inspiration.

This was by far the most difficult challenge that I've done in some time. I had an idea in my head but the finished product didn't quite turn out the way I had pictured. I used the photo of the twins as my inspiration. I did not have one stamp that I thought was suitable so I decided to use shape and colour as the main inspiration.
This is the photo
The card was quite a simple one to make. I used a small daisy punch for the flowers. It's been a very long time since I've used a punch of any sort on a card. The heart was cut on my Cricut. I've sponged the heart with some distress ink and that is about it.
