Scrap Pile Saturday Challenge #13

Seeing that I left it so late last week, I thought I would get in early this week for the Scrap Pile Saturday Challenge over at Stampin Inspirations.
The challenge this week was to make a card in under 30 minutes.

For my card this week I used one of my new digital stamps. I released six designs over on my Platypus Creek website on Friday. This particular one is a freebie, so if you would like to download it, head over to my website and download it for free.

All the papers and ribbon are from my scrap pile. I really like this floral print paper. I picked a few more sheets up the other day at my local scrapbooking shop, but I have no idea who makes it.
The wording is from Sunshine Designs. The image is coloured using Copics.

Scrap Pile Saturday Challenge #12

Well another week has gone by and I've very little to show for it, creatively speaking anyway. I wanted to participate in the Scrap Pile Saturday Challenge over at Stampin Inspirations this week as I really enjoy the challenges that Maria sets. Since I'm nearly out of time, I've done a really quick and simple card this week.

The challenge was to use a minimum of three heart elements on your card or project. I've been playing alot recently, creating cutting files to use on my Cricut, so all the elements on the card are a result of my trial runs.

The card is a three fold gift enclosure with a heart on the opening flap. I've also cut a single heart from white Bazzill and a heart border. The final element is the heart button.

Christmas Stamping All Year Long Challenge 50

Well I'm finally back in my craft room. I was feeling really creative at the end of last week and then we had a computer meltdown. As a result the past five days have been spent first buying a new computer, setting it up, re-installing all my programs and learning my way around the new operating system. Enough of that, it's time to get creative again.

This is the card I made for the Christmas Stamping All Year Long Challenge. The challenge this week was to make a card using a specific recipe. All the details are over on the CSAYL blog. I didn't do any stamping on this one. I decided to use one of the cardstock stickers I picked up on one of my last trips to the US. The paper is from Bo Bunny.
Sorry the photo isn't very good. It's not a really nice day here, so I had to take the photo inside.

Scrap Pile Saturday Challenge #11

Another week has almost finished, so its time for me to post my submission for the Scrap Pile Saturday Challenge over at Stampin Inspirations.

The lovely autumn weather we have been having over the past few days inspired me to make an autumn themed card this week. The stamp I have used is from the Sunshine Designs Seasons Tree Collection. I've used my Cuttlebug embossing folders as well as Spellbinders Impressabilities to give the card texture. The image has been coloured using Tombows.

As an additional challenge this week Maria also supplied the sketch below for us to follow.

Hope

Here is another card I created using the new JustRite set. The paper is from a Hot Off The Press book I've had for ages. I stamped the greeting using Timber Brown Stazon and then layered it onto a Spellbinders Fleur de Lis Pendant cut from Java Bazzill

Inspirations

Happy Mother's Day to all the mums out there. I hope everyone had a lovely day. I got to spend most of today crafting with my daughter. My hubby is away at the moment so after an early morning buffet breakfast we came home and started scrapbooking. My daughter accomplished much more than I did, but it has been very enjoyable.

I didn't manage to make any cards today so thought I would share one I made last night. I made this one using the new JustRite set I received for the May Downunder Design Team work. The full list of materials used will be available over on the Downunder site soon.

Scrap Pile Saturday Challenge #10

Its time again for the Scrap Pile Saturday Challenge over at Stampin Inspirations. This week we were challenged to make a card incorporating stamping on designer paper. I've had this printed paper from Bo Bunny for ages. I only had enough to stamp three flowers which I then cut up and layered, and a bit left over to use for the backgrond. The flower stamp is from The Artful Stamper and the verse is from JustRite. I've used two of the folders from the Cuttlebug My Type set to emboss the white and green strips.

Smile

Another card I made for Downunder Direct today. The colour combination here is Swirlpool Geneva (an embossed Bazzill) and Peach. I really like the Spellbinder Die - Fleur de Lis Pendant. It was a bit of a challenge as it didn't want to cut perfectly, but I persisted and was happy with the outcome. The stamp is from JustRite and the pearl embellishments are from Prima.

Easel Card

Thought I would share this card I made for Downunder Direct today.
The card itself is very simple to make. I've used a combination of Cinnabar and Quartz Bazzill. The main stamp is from JustRite and the paper is from Stamp It.
