One Last Christmas Card

I always seem to find one last minute craft thing to do on Christmas Eve, so this year being no different, I found myself in my craft room once again. I made this card for my daughter. Every year we purchase a new skating ornament for our tree so I thought I would keep with the theme when I created this card.
I have once again used the Cricut cartridge "Winter Woodland". I cut the card using a 14cm setting and then cut out a tag using the same measurement. I cut another tag from Jac paper to use as an overlay to apply some crystal glitter. A little ribbon and a few diamantes and the card was complete.

Red and Green Christmas

Here are another two cards I made using my Cricut. The reindeer was created using the card option on the "Winter Woodland" cartridge. The tree is from "Joys of The Season." I've had this cartridge for about three years, but really haven't used it much. The tree was cut at 14cm, first on cardstock and then on Jac paper. I put the Jac paper over the cardstock and then covered it with Poison Ivy glitter from Art institute Glitter. The wording on the tree is one of the new JustRite Christmas sets and the Glad Tidings greeting is from Sunshine Designs.

Snowman Cards

This is another set of cards I made using the new Cricut cartridge "Winter Woodland." I set my size dial at 14cm to cut out the card base. I also cut the layers using the same size as I found they fit without too much adjusting. I finished the hat with some white Liquid Applique sprinkled with crystal glitter while still wet. Once dry I used my heat tool to puff up the Liquid Applique. I added a couple of tiny black buttons to finish the cards. These cards will be set aside for next year as well.

Glitter Christmas Trees

Over the weekend I spent much of my time in the craft room. As usual I had left my Christmas cards to the very last minute, and I really needed to accomplish the daunting task of making and writing all to post on Monday. I managed to get finished and even get a head start on next year. This is one of the extra cards I made. I used my Cricut and a new cartridge I just received last week called "Winter Woodland" to make this card. I cut a 14cm card and then a set of trees slightly smaller (13.5cm) so that they would fit over the card base. I also cut a set of trees out of Jac paper and used this as an overlay to apply crystal glitter. The result is quite pretty. I just have to decide if I want an insert or to leave the card with the window.

Christmas ATCs

I spent a few hours yesterday making some Christmas ATCs for a 1-4-1 swap group I belong to. I find that for the most part, I only seem to send out returns for ATCs I have received. Very rarely do I have the time to initiate the swap. I do however like to send out a Christmas ATC to all on the list. I needed to make 22 this year as numbers have decreased during 2009. I finished up with 23. I kept them pretty simple so that I could finish up and get them posted today. Hopefully all will be received before Christmas Eve.
