September Project Of The Month

I have finally finished my project for September over on my Platypus Creek website. I usually have the project uploaded by the first of the month, but with all my other commitments I fell a little behind.
This month I have used my JustRite Christmas Stamp Ensemble for the stamping part of the project. I have also used The Crafter's Companion Ultimate Pro to make the box and score the lines for the bag. Spellbinders feature in this month's project. I just love Snowflake Wonder and have used it on the project as well.
To complete the set there is a chocolate bar cover that I designed using the Crafter's Companion. a set of gift tags and a greeting card. You can see all the items over on my website under Project of the Month.

Another Christmas Card

I purchased my first JustRite Stamp set back in January. Little did I know at the time, that I would be on the design team for Downunder Direct, the company who distributes them here in Australia.
Not sure why, but I decided on The Christmas Stamp Ensemble as my first purchase. I puchased the stamp set from an online shop and unfortunately the wood mount that I needed to use with them was out of stock. I finally managed to get the Wood Mount awhile ago and have just recently had a play with the stamps. I've made a number of cards over the past few days using this Christmas set. This card is one of my favourites. I just love the colours and the printed paper.
On this card I have just used the outer ring of the stamp set. I have made a dimensional snowflake using the Spellbinder die "Snowflake Wonder". I've embellished the snowflake with beads and added diamantes to the outer circle. The top half of the card has been embossed using the Spellbinder Impressabilities "Snowflakes."

Let It Snow

I made this Christmas card a few weeks ago. I like to start making my Christms cards during our Aussie winter. I find it is a great time for crafting in general, but especially a good time to start those many planned Christmas projects.
This let it snow card is a bit of wishful thinking, but when I think of Christmas one of the first things that still comes to my mind is snow and cold weather.
This was such a quick card to make. I mainly used my Spellbinder dies with the only stamping being the wording. It's hard to see in the photo but I have embossed the dark blue cardstock with my Spellbinder Impressabilities Snowflakes. It gives a nice subtle raised snowflake pattern to the card stock.
The ribbon was packaging from a gift box I received ages ago. I'm making an effort to use up all those bits and pieces I've collected. (Probably just to make room to collect more.) I had a huge clean out of the craft room when we moved house and was amazed at just how much "stuff" I've collected over the years.
