Birthday Card for Mum

This is a card I just finished to send to my mum for her 86th birthday. I'm not sure where the wording stamp is from, it is possibly a Printworks design. The butterfly is from The Artful Stamper.
Using white ink and white embossing powder, I stamped and embossed the butterfly three times. Twice on Romance Bazzill and once on Petalsoft Bazzill. I've raised the different sections of the wings using silicon to give a 3D effect.

Taylored Expressions Cupcake Challenge #51

I decided to have a go at Taylor's cupcake challenge #51. I had an idea in my head of what I wanted to create when I started. It didn't quite come together as planned, but I'm happy with the finished results. The stamps I used were Easter Egg Tree from The Artful Stamper and one of the cupcakes from my Hero Arts cupcake set.
I stamped and embossed the main image and then coloured it in with Tombows. I stamped the cupcake seven times on shrink plastic, coloured them with my watercolour pencils then shrunk them in the oven. The finished cupcakes fit perfectly over top of the easter eggs on the Easter Egg Tree stamp. The paper I used was another sheet from my Provo Craft Pocket Full of Posies Stack. To finish off the cupcakes I applied Glossy Accents. The sentiment is from Sunshine Designs.

Bright Birthday Card

I wanted a nice bright and cheerful birthday card for a female so I created this card the other day.
I received a Provo Craft Pocket Full of Posies Stack 12 x 12 cardstock for Christmas so decided to have a play with some of the designs.
I also used my Cricut for the first time in ages to cut out the oval shapes.
Not sure what the image is. I picked the stamp up at Michael's when I was in the States in 2007. I hadn't used any of the stamps I brought home so decided it was time to start.
The shrink plastic tile was stamped with Sunshine Designs "It's your Day" before shrinking.
I wasn't sure if I liked the card, as I thought it a bit busy. After looking at it for awhile I decided I did in fact like it so decided to share it with you.

Male cards

Over the next few months a few boys in my family will be celebrating their birthdays.
The first two cards have been created using stamps from The Artful Stamper. On the first card I have used paper from Bo Bunny. The image has been stamped and coloured with Tombows. The circles have been cut on my Cricut. The second card has been stamped with Stazon ink and sponged with Distress Ink. On the third card I have used a Barramundi stamp from Stamp It. The card has been created using the same technique as card two.

Welcome to my blog

Well I have finally decided to take the plunge and create my blog. It is something I have been wanting to do for some time, but never got around to.
After a long break I am finally feeling creative again. Here are a couple of things I've made over the past couple of days.
This card has been created using one of my favourite images from Sunshine Designs - Bonbon Cube. the wording - Friendship Word Cube is also from Sunshine designs.
The image has been stamped and embossed and then coloured with Tombows.
